Terms of Service
Effective: August 2, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of StudyLive Global (the “Service”), operated by StudyLive (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. The Service is designed for learners in high school and above and is not directed to children under 13.
2. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in credentials secure and do not share or transfer your account.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our fault.
- You may delete your account from the in-app settings. Deletion is permanent, subject to limited legal or security retention described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Acceptable use
You may not:
- harass, threaten, impersonate, discriminate against, or harm another person;
- post unlawful, abusive, sexually explicit, violent, deceptive, infringing, or privacy-invasive content;
- publish another person's private information or direct contact information without permission;
- access the Service without authorization, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, scrape it at scale, or reverse engineer it except where law permits;
- falsify study time, automate activity, manipulate rankings, or otherwise misrepresent learning activity;
- submit false or abusive reports, evade a suspension, or use the Service for illegal activity.
4. Community content and safety
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, protect, and improve the Service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for cached, backed-up, or legally retained copies.
You are responsible for your content. We may review reports and remove content, restrict features, exclude manipulated activity from rankings, suspend accounts, or take other proportionate action when we reasonably believe these Terms, law, or community safety are at risk. The Service includes reporting and blocking tools; blocking does not guarantee that every trace of another user disappears from historical or shared content.
5. Our intellectual property
The Service, software, design, logo, and content supplied by us or our licensors are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service; they do not transfer ownership.
6. Paid features, subscriptions, and advertising
The Service may offer subscriptions, one-time purchases, or advertising. Current prices, billing periods, trial terms, and included features are shown in the App Store or Google Play before purchase. Apple or Google processes payment; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through your store account before the renewal deadline shown by the applicable store. Refunds are handled under the store's rules and mandatory local law. Deleting your StudyLive account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party platforms such as Apple, Google, Firebase, and RevenueCat. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
8. Changes, availability, and termination
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal, or product reasons. We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of material changes or discontinuation.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, specific academic results, or that community content is accurate. StudyLive is a productivity and community tool, not educational, medical, legal, or professional advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or JPY 10,000. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including rights under mandatory consumer-protection law.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The Tokyo District Court will have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance, except where mandatory law in your country gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. We will provide reasonable notice in the Service or by another appropriate method when changes are material. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
